Adaptive Campus and the Sloan Consortium find Innovative Ways to Reach Out to the Online Educator Community

Needham, MA, July 1, 2008 – Adaptive Campus and the Sloan Consortium have partnered to maximize an effort to reach out to potential Sloan Consortium members. Adaptive Campus has developed an integrated marketing campaign focused on helping the Sloan Consortium reach a revenue level that enables it to become self-sustainable. Adaptive Campus is utilizing channels that are consistent with its focus on community. Beyond many traditional marketing channels that form the foundation of the campaign, Adaptive Campus is implementing a host of newer techniques that have a community "feel", such as developing the Online Education Channel on YouTube, working with the Sloan-C community to build out the Sloan-C Wikipedia page, establishing a Sloan-C community on the LinkedIn website, the development and launch of social networking websites, and expanding Sloan-C's presence in the Second Life virtual world. While these techniques may be newer and possibly less understood in the general marketing community, they have been carefully researched and identified as channels that can deliver great value to Sloan-C based on their marketing needs. Because Sloan-C is among the first movers in these channels, and especially in their market, they stand to reap great reward for their effort at a relatively low cost.
