Adaptive Campus Presents Session on Marketing Online Program Approaches at MSU’s Global Campus

Lansing, MI, January 30, 2008 – Keith Bourne of Adaptive Campus was recently invited to present at Michigan State University on behalf of their Global Campus department. The informative session focused on cost effective marketing techniques and a general marketing approach for existing programs that would be moving into the online education space. The presentation was segmented into three parts:

  1. Research the needs of the student base.
  2. Develop your programs in ways that meet those needs.
  3. Develop a communication and outreach plan that focuses on how your program meets their needs more effectively, based on the needs analysis conducted prior.

Keith also displayed how marketing campaigns can differ depending on the amount of money invested per effort. This explanation gave examples of a number of promotional channels a marketing project is able to utilize with budgets ranging from under $50,000 to more than $500,000.

The MSU Global Campus presentation highlighted the importance of online advertising and elaborated on an example of an Adaptive Campus outreach approach.
